Determine your eligibility <\/span><\/h3>\n\n

  1. Make sure you want to become a permanent resident and are not applying for the green card lottery for a temporary stay such as a tourist trip, business trip or stopover. If you wish to travel to the USA temporarily, we advise you to apply for a USA visa or to use the ESTA<\/a> waiver program if all conditions are met; <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. make sure you’re from an eligible country (see the list of countries on the official website). <\/span>Not all countries are eligible for the green card lottery. The countries selected are those that have provided fewer than 500,000 migrants to the U.S. over the past 5 years.
